Diving days
Two dives yesterday, two dives today. Both nice and gentle, 45-60 feet (15-20 meters). Helped by a nice young lady named Savannah, who held my hand through much of the first dive. I had made it clear that I felt I might need some extra help, not having done much diving since covid, but maybe I overdid it.

Both days we had about half students getting certified, half already certified. As usual, I was the oldest person along. After the first day, the captain (who didn't dive) wanted me to hire an extra instructor to go along with us. Isaac and I agree that it wasn't due to any failings of mine as a diver, but because of my age and the fact that Savannah had been helping me. In any event, we were happy to pay for another instructor and get more individualized attention.
We saw lots of moray eels. Mostly, the landscape is incredible! Mostly tan (at that depth), huge coral growths, just an occasional patch of bare sand. One of the instructors had a green laser pointer, and at one point shined it on the bottom and the nearby fish reacted just like cats!
Isaac and I were both eager to take showers after two salt-water dives!
Tonight we went to a Korean BBQ and had, among other things, bulgogi, shrimp, and seaweed soup.
