Honolulu day 2

Or 3 if you count the day we got here.

Dinner at Shokudo, a Japanese restaurant, last night. Their specialty is honey toast. It's Japanese bread, cooked like French toast, and then drizzled with Caramel syrup and with a scoop of ice cream. And honey. It was amazing. It was also enormous. We all far too much dessert.

Minor things I have noticed in Honolulu:
-Lots of dogs in stores, hotels, malls, on the street..
-A cooler full of leis in boxes at the Target.
-Very many friendly people offering help with the scooter. Even more than I'm used to. And just saying hello.
-At least on the end of Waikiki that we are on, things closed down early. The mall mostly closed at 8:00 p.m. and we had trouble finding a restaurant that was open.

The weather has been absolutely gorgeous. Nice and sunny and warm, a very pleasant change from what we left. I took a nice long walk (well, scoot) in a park along the harbor while the guys went diving.
